Galentine's Women's Health Fair

Our Doctors of Tomorrow students volunteered at our first annual Galentine's Women's Health Fair at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead on February 12th, 2025. Our students were diligent in serving their community and had the opportunity to connect with each other and various medical professionals, as well as hear the important issues surrounding women’s health presented by the physician speakers at the event.

Q&A With Medical Students

April 23rd, 2025
May 14th, 2025
June 11th, 2025

Our students had the opportunity to ask questions to medical students from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University about their journey to medicine, the application process, studying tips, work-life balance, and more. The Q&A sessions were held on Zoom on three separate dates.

Award Ceremony

On June 2nd, 2025, we held the award ceremony for the Doctors of Tomorrow program at the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, where we announced the scholarship and award winners for that year, chosen by our physician committee. Students, parents, and preceptors all gathered to celebrate the students’ achievements and their interest and dedication to medicine.

Narcan Training

In August, SAM partnered with Northwell Health, Stony Brook Medicine, and The Retreat to hold a Narcan training event for our community, including our Doctors of Tomorrow students. Together, we assembled over 300 overdose rescue kits, and everyone left the room as a certified lifesaver. We are planning to hold more of these trainings in the near future and hope to work with our Doctors of Tomorrow students to bring this training to all Suffolk County high schools!
