Harvest of Health: Pediatric Health Fair

Our Doctors of Tomorrow students volunteered at our first annual Pediatric Health Fair at the Hyatt Regency Long Island on November 5th, 2025. Our students were diligent in serving their community and had the opportunity to connect with each other and various medical professionals. They also assembled over 300 Narcan overdose rescue kits and were Narcan certified by the end of the night.

Q&A With Medical Students

April 28th, 2026

Our students had the opportunity to ask questions to medical students from various medical schools about their journey to medicine, the application process, studying tips, work-life balance, and more. The Q&A sessions were held on Zoom.

Narcan Training

On May 27th, 2026, SAM partnered with Northwell Health to hold a Narcan training event for the seniors of Smithtown High School East. One of our Doctors of Tomorrow students, Alexa Lipp, wanted to bring this training to her high school, so together, we made it happen.  The students assembled overdose rescue kits, and everyone left the room as a certified lifesaver. We are planning to hold more of these trainings in the near future and hope to work with our Doctors of Tomorrow students to bring this training to even more Suffolk County high schools!

Award Ceremony

On June 18th, 2026, we held the award ceremony for the Doctors of Tomorrow program at Rexer Family Farm, where we announced the scholarship and award winners for that year, chosen by our physician committee. Students, parents, and preceptors all gathered to celebrate the students’ achievements and their interest and dedication to medicine.
